About Us
Live Oak Wrestling Club was formed in November 2007 by Norvin Hill. The
club was originally formed with 3 Live Oak Middle School students, Cody
Hill, Mason Claverie, and Austin Boitnott. These 3 wrestlers represented
Live Oak but practiced and attended tournaments through East Ascension
Titans Wrestling Club. Although there was no wrestling club in the Live
Oak area, the kids were determined to represent their school and community
even before a local club was formed.
Currently, the Club practices at Live Oak High School three times a
week and members compete in statewide tournaments on the weekends. The
club is chartered as a USA Wrestling Club and trains wrestlers from
Kindergarten to 12th grade. The Club offers training in Folkstyle, Freestyle,
and Greco. The Live Oak Wrestling Club is dedicated to bringing wrestling
to the Live Oak community while being instrumental in the early training
and preparation for high school wrestling.
Beginning our 3rd year of the Live Oak Wrestling Club, we have over
30 wrestlers making their mark on our community in the sport of wrestling
with many that have brought home medals from local, state, regional,
and national competitions.
To join Live Oak Wrestling Club, please contact
us. There are no commitments as wrestling is an individual sport. Attendance
at Live Oak schools are NOT required.
